About the Brand – Ocean Sole
Ocean Sole began on the shores of Kenya where founder Julie Church saw local children turning discarded flip-flops into toys and felt inspired to scale that spark into something bigger. What started as a grassroots cleanup became a mission-driven social enterprise that transforms plastic flip-flop waste from Kenyan beaches and waterways into vibrant hand-carved art while cleaning oceans and protecting coastlines. Ocean Sole operates a U.S. nonprofit arm to support community, conservation, and creative impact, directly employing Kenyan artisans and investing in education, healthcare, and environmental programs that uplift local families and inspire global change.
