About the Brand – KORISSA
KORISSA was founded in 2017 by two New York-based moms, Angela and Nora, after Angela spent a year in Bangladesh and met a social entrepreneur working with women in slum communities. The brand is women-led and partners with artisan organizations that follow fair trade principles. KORISSA works with Indigenous and rural women artisans in Bangladesh and Ecuador, ensuring fair wages, safe workplaces, and meaningful livelihood opportunities. Their mission is to offer environmentally and socially responsible handmade goods while cultivating sustainable relationships and helping preserve artisan heritage.
