Hygge Throw

Simple, contemporary, and classic

Hygge Throw Image 1

It was just a matter of time before we created a throw inspired by the word that epitomizes cozy and comfort. Hygge (pronounced “hoo-guh”) derives from a sixteenth-century Norwegian term, hugga, meaning “to comfort” or “to console,” which is related to the English word “hug.” Although we don't have a word that directly translates to hygge, “cozy” probably comes close. The Danes and Norwegians might describe hygge as surrounding yourself with things that make life good. Yes! We get it!

The Hygge Throw, with its large grid pattern in ivory and black, is simple, contemporary, and classic. Size: 50"x60".

About the Brand – Seek & Swoon
Seek & Swoon, and their collection of knit throw blankets, was inspired by a love of design, home goods, and a two month European sabbatical owner Jala Smith-Huys took with her husband and two young sons during the summer of 2015. She returned home wanting to start a business that allowed her to preserve her travel memories through creating a quality product that everyone could enjoy and take pride in owning.

Jala is inspired by beautiful places and, in the biggest terms, the world—taking care of it, exploring it, and adding to its beauty. Seek & Swoon products reflect this: each knit throw blanket is made in the USA from recycled yarn. They've partnered with a second generation, family-owned knitting mill that’s just as committed to comfort, quality and design as they are. When you wrap up in one of their knit throw blankets, they hope you find the same sense of belonging and comfort that you’d find relaxing in a Tuscan vineyard or sipping tea in Edinburgh or savoring a moment in your own home. *Women-Owned
