About the Brand – Driftaway Coffee
Driftaway Coffee was founded in 2014 by Anu Menon and Suyog Mody, a husband-and-wife team in Brooklyn, New York. They launched with a subscription model that helped people find roast profiles they really loved via blind tasting. Over time they grew into a full small-batch roastery focused on conversation, education, and ethical sourcing. Driftaway emphasizes sustainability and equity in its supply chain. More than half of their coffee is sourced from women producers, and at least 20 percent comes from minority or Indigenous producers. They’ve opened a tasting room in Williamsburg to share coffee, community, and an interactive experience.
