Salto was founded in 2019 by Seattle native Sidney Ann Field, a lifelong maker, artist, and designer. The name “Salto”—a nod to her gymnastics background—reflects her playful, hands-on approach to creativity. With a degree in graphic design from the Art Institute of Seattle and a career in product development spanning home, gift, and lifestyle goods, Sidney brings a passion for turning ideas into tangible joy. She now creates pottery and leads workshops from her home studio in Des Moines, Washington, where she lives with her daughter and cat.
