About the Brand - Twentynine Palms
Twentynine Palms creates products for the skin, body, and home, inspired by the majesty and myth of the desert. Their name is drawn from the desert city of Twentynine Palms, known as the gateway to Joshua Tree National Park—an area renowned for its otherworldly rock formations and mesmerizing night skies. It was this landscape that influenced their products and their ingredients, from antioxidant Prickly Pear to fatty acid-rich Evening Primrose. Developed with high-quality botanical extracts, the formulations are intended to accompany daydreams, fantasies, trips, bolts of inspiration, and moments of stillness—the quiet slivers of our day-to-day that sustain us. Their products are developed for all people, personality types, and professions—but especially for those that resist limits and boundaries: those who relish freedom and the great unknown. Twentynine Palms is a desert mirage; a collision of cultures; a window to dreaming and dissolving—a place where you see nothing and everything. The Mojave desert has served as a muse for hikers, soul-searchers, and creatives alike. They’re particularly drawn to land artists who freed themselves from the constraints of the gallery and sought to use the earth as their canvas, and want to support local artists and communities.

They’ve established a long-term partnership with the non-profit High Desert Test Sites. HDTS, co-founded in 2002 by artist Andrea Zittel, locates contemporary art in a rural setting, far from inner-city art centers, and demonstrates an ongoing engagement with the local population and landscapes. The organization is based at A-Z West, Zittel’s 80-acre Joshua Tree compound that functions as an ongoing investigation into what it means to exist and participate in our culture today. An endowment provided by Twentynine Palms will fund artist and staff support, with the intention of building an enduring creative partnership for the foundation. *Women-Owned
