Irena Bracelet

Japanese glass beads with brass finishings

This simple bracelet is finished with raw brass finishing beads on durable nylon cord in choice muted colors. Adjustable length from 5-1/2 inches to 9-1/2 inches, one size fits most.
The Irena bracelet is named after Irena Sendler, Polish nurse and humanitarian. During World War II, Irena was the head of the children’s section of Zegota, the Polish Council to Aid Jews. Irena smuggled over 2,500 Jewish children away from Nazi-occupied Europe, saving more lives than any other individual during the Holocaust.

William Knopp and Jessica Tata are the husband and wife team behind Son of a Sailor. Their inspiration comes from the application of color, pattern, and geometry to materials with a rich history and story. They embrace the convergence of innovation, functionality, storytelling, and bright, bold geometry in all of their designs. The Son of a Sailor line is handmade in their Austin, Texas studio.
